Are you alright?

"...You bet you're alright!"

Has anyone actually heard this part in Whipsaw or did Fred Sanford just make it up?

I listened for it but wasn't paying 100% attention, and the closest thing I heard is around 50 minutes in, where it was something like "I'm alright", then "I'll tell the world you're alright" with no chin taps, etc. I'd like to see it if it's there.

-Thanks!

Yeah, your right. I saw the episode of Sanford and Son this morning as it is just like Freddie G. explains.

I don't know what remark from S&S your discussing, but I just watched Whipsaw (liked it very much) and your quote above is perfectly accurate. Tracy said it just the way you mention and he ends with "as far as I'm concerned you're alright in spades."

But there is no chin tap, no contact of any kind if that matters.

"AT LAST SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER"
