Only Sequal?

Although this is an obvious sequal to Them Thar Hills I think Our Wife could also be a sequal! In Our Wife when James Finlayson looks at the photo of Ollie he reacts really angrilly at the thought of his daughter marrying him. His reaction makes me think he knows and doesn't like Olly more than it makes me think he just doesn't like the look of him. So could it be Our Wife is a sequal to a previous Laurel & Hardy film featuring James Finlayson (within reason for example I don't think it could be a sequal to Way Out West as I think that is set way before it was made, back in the western times)? But it could be considered a sequal to a lot of the other ones he's featured in.
