Interesting But Unsatisfying

I found this a hard film to like, because, although it had good performances by several likeable actors (Hepburn, Grant, Gwenn, Aherne) I didn't find the characters they played to be very likeable (including Cukor favorite Dennie Moore). When you come down to it, they really weren't a very nice bunch.

Hepburn looked great as both Sylvia and Sylvester - Hepburn's disdain for dresses and skirts is legendary, but she certainly wore them beautifully and always looked great in them!

I agree with you.But I have to say that Hepburn was amazing in this.

I agree, and as I said in another post I found Hepburn's part when she was in the dress (which she did wear very well) more interesting then her part as a boy.

I have to say I agree with you. It wasn't necessarily good or bad, and really, as weird as it sounds, I can't decide whether I love this movie or hate it. In fact, for some reason, I can't seem to make a judgment on this film. Quite a new experience for me, but really just can't figure out what I thought about this one.

It was really exciting seeing such a young Cary Grant, closer to his roots. So I agree, more interesting than satisfying.
