good film, but they didn't stick to the book

Good film, but they really dumbed down the book. They changed the relationship between the characters and the motive for the killing. The novel is quite a bit more complex, too. I like Donald Cook as Ellery Queen, although he wasn't nearly as sexy as Jim Hutton was in that role!
