amazing documentation of history

laugh at it all you want, but like the early cagney navy film ("here comes the navy"?) where we see a pre-pearl harbor USS ARIZONA and airship AKRON (i believe?)... both ill-fated in real-life -- true life event/invention of the time is captured very well in this seemingly toss-away film.

we don't just get the ZEPHYR and HOOVER DAM construction, but great coverage of the 1934 CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR -- and you want to make fun of the plot?

(far worse plots exist in major hollywood films today, and they hardly capture a thing for posterity.)

go ahead and laugh at the story, the historic imagery is amazing.

(Two years later) WT06 - yes, it's STILL an entertaining and intriguing (educational) film! Well worth watching, for all the historical points you noted.
