The iron lung


The iron lung is too heavy to be lifted by an airplane, but 3 guys push it onto the train at the loading dock?

Perhaps when you consider the planes that were around in 1934, smaller, needing to balance weight around the interior and things like that, maybe it would have been too much weight in one small area for those smaller aircraft to function.

Besides, no movie! haha

Good points, there were no air cargo planes in those days, except possibly a military bomber, likely the open-cockpit type in 1934. Google "Ford TriMotor" and take a look at the passenger door size. No iron lung on that flight...
