Was That A Young Slim Pickens . . .

. . . at the bar reacting with the other cowboys during the Gettysburg Address sequence? He had several lines and the voice rings familiar, but he's not listed as a RORG cast member on IMDb and according to his biography I think Slim was still out on the rodeo circuit when this film was made. But it sure sounds and looks like Mister Pickens to me. Anyone?

reply

Pickens would have been only 15 or 16 years old during production time so it doesn't appear likely he was in the film and certainly not cast as one of the saloon characters.

Okay folks, show's over, nothing to see here!

reply

Oh . . . yes. I shoulda looked at Pickens' birth date. Thanks

I just watched the movie for the first time, and I too said to myself, "boy, that looks like Slim Pickens", but immediately did the math and knew it couldn't be him.

Curly was played by Victor Potel and his IMDB bio is a very interesting too.
