I adore this child! So cute and sweet. I haven't seen Juanita in very much other than her famous role as little Jessie in the original IMITATION OF LIFE and a couple of later Our Gang episodes (she once filled in for Darla!) but she's among my favorite child actresses.
shareMy mum said that Juanita was the only part of the movie she enjoyed. I found her to be irritating, but that could just be me and my dislike of children.
shareNext to Jean she was the best thing in the movie! I love Una Merkel but her character in this is a rather earthy slob and not one of her best roles.
shareFor me, it's all about Spencer (dreamy to the max), Jean, and Joseph Calleia (I'll never be able to spell that right...) who had excellent taste in fur pieces. Oh, and Mickey, of course.
