RE: The Inception of Peter's Dreamworld

Movie girl: I was quite impressed by this beautifully done film and especially
by all of the cast. Ann, Gary, and John Halliday were superb. I recalled in rewatching recently that Peter's boss (played by the great Donald Meek) portrayed a
blind man who is able to escape his plight by a dream world he has created.

When Peter moves on to other work, he is later able to live in Mary's idyllic world of pretense,
though he has becomes a life-time prisoner in jail for accidentally killing her husband.
I felt that Peter was inspired by the seemingly taciturn boss who somehow
instilled his ideas into the shy young gentleman.
