piano piece that Chico played

Does any one have any idea what the piece is that Chico plays on the piano?
Is it a classical piece, or is it something that was simply composed for this movie?
It is definitely the most unique sounding and interesting thing I've heard in a while. It also looks fun to play, and even more fun to watch!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!

The song is called "All I Do is Dream of You" and would later crop up in the 1952 film Singin' in the Rain.

"You're just wasting your breath, and that's no great loss, either."
