The ship. 1935 and 1962 versions.


I know the Bounty built for the 1962 film exists in fact I toured it. What happened to the one used in the 1935 film?

Also, from the Los Angeles Times November 27, 1948: "The barge Bounty, a converted schooner used in The Mutiny on the Bounty, sank after it was driven onto an offshore breakwater at Long Beach" after a big storm, per Google News Archive. Perhaps it didn't sink since stories in the Times from March 1950 and November 1950 have the ship ripped from it's moorings during bad weather. Apparently the ship didn't survive the 50's.

Actually, since jmars35264 posted his remarks about touring the 1962 HMS Bounty it was sunk at sea, a victim of Hurricane Sandy.
