An utterly brilliant performance from Lorre.

Not much else to say other than Lorre was truly exceptional in this role. One of the very best performances ever, especially in a horror film. His mannerisms throughout the picture are simply spellbinding!

Lorre was without question one of the greatest, though sadly overlooked, actors in the history of film.

I couldn't agree more. History focuses on the leading men and women. Actors like Peter Lorre are worth their weight in gold.

He's definitely one of my favorite silver screen actors.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

It was certainly a very underrated role for such a talented actor.

I wouldn't say that Lorre was overlooked. Like a lot of others who played villains so well, he was stuck with being a supporting actor. But his mannerisms were copied long after he was gone. Particularly in animated scary films.
