Mammas boys

All the men were 35 or older and at home still

Not at all unusual, that's how it was decades ago. Unmarried sons and daughters lived at home. When they married, they were allowed to get their own apartments. Nearby, of course.

Miss DeHavilland was actually 19 years of age, in her 98th year today, having outlived her recently deceased younger sister, Joan Fontaine.

Okay folks, show's over, nothing to see here!

It was not unusual for adult sons to stay on in the family home and support their widowed mother, or both parents in their old age. After his divorce, my uncle lived with and supported my grandmother for the rest of her life. It's not as if these guys were just parasites living in mom's basement playing video games.
