Two huge goofs


The film is set in 1922, but the "tan war" ended in 1921.

Frankie refers to walking down O'Connell street, but the street wasn't named as such until 1924.

True the "Tan War" ended in 1921, however, the treaty wasn't in effect until the end of 1922 and therefore Black and Tans would have still been in the area.

O'Connell Street wasn't formally named until 1924, however Nationalist Dubliner's were calling it that long before it was officially named.
