One thing here that shouldn't be overlooked: the Jerome Kern songs. "I Dream too Much" and "Jockey on the Carousel," in particular, are gorgeous. I don't know if they were written for this film--probably they were. They're what makes the film worth seeing.

Yes, I did love the songs, but liked most of the rest of the movie as well....
Am not a Henry Fonda fan at all, but thought he was very good in this.
Great look at Lily Pons & Mischa Auer. I thought "Lucy's" part was too small and the whole 'family on vacation scene' could have been written better....
