Three in a row for Francis and Brent!

Kay Francis and George Brent did three films together in 1935, "Stranded", "Living on Velvet" and this one, "The Goose and the Gander". I think I like this one best of the three.

Wonderful watching Kay Francis, she really played the impish part very well here. She was a little bit playful, a little bit scheming and just a little bit naughty. I would have loved to have seen what this film might have been had The Code not imposed itself on films the year before. I'm sure it would have been that much more piquant of a bedroom farce!

I only saw this film very recently, but i think it's delightful. clever plot and interesting characters. I haven't seen the others you mention, I must look them up.

The more I watch older movies the more I get to discover actors with whom I hadn't been familiar. I have seen a lot of movies starring Kay Francis and George Brent but I think this is the first time I've seen them in the same movie. My recent
'discovery' is Genevieve Tobin. TCM just ran several of her movies back-to-back, of which this is one. I had never heard of her but I'm pretty sure I've seen her. She along with Francis and Brent made this movie enjoyable.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
