Supernatural Celebrity

I liked the way the ghost was turned into a celebrity upon reaching America. Very clever and it is just as true now as it would have been then.

I also noticed some Rene Clair Le Million flashbacks. The people he owed money to followed him all throughout the place.

I actually think this film suffered from a little too much Robert Donat. Don't get me wrong, I like him...especially in The 39 Steps...but it would have been better to have someone else as the ghost. I know some of the sub-plot depended on the resemblance, but I didn't care for him in the ghost role.

Overall I found this to be a clever movie bit a bit weaker than the Clair French films I've seen. I'll say a 7/10.
