Chevalier in dual role

I was very impressed by Maurice Chevalier's handling of his dual role here; by the end of the film I'd actually managed to forget that he was playing both parts and was thinking of the two characters quite separately, as individuals with their own concerns! More entertaining than your average good/evil personality split, as rehearsed by the lead of almost every long-running TV franchise at some point or other...

Somehow he even manages to look less Chevalier-like when he is being the Baron, lengthening his face and becoming altogether more distinguished . And then that moment at the end when he as the Baron spoofs himself by protruding his lower lip -- priceless!
