Just saw a documentary that said it was a Columbia Picture, but I have the film at home and another studio is shown in the titles?! (confusing me) Some "B" independant studio.
I wonder if the VHS copy uses a foreign print?
Yes, this film was produced by B.P. Schulberg Productions for Columbia Pictures. The version I saw on TCM had the earlier Columbia "shimmering" studio logo, says "Columbia Pictures Corporation presents..." and also was copyrighted by Columbia Pictures. Perhaps you have a copy of the version distributed the next year in Austria by Orbis-Filmverleih?
