Russian Version?

Has anyone seen the Russian version? (with subtitles I hope) The Idiot, and Brothers Karamazov were extremely well done and although they were (Idiot 500 m, Brothers 440 m) much longer than American versions, were so much better and clearer and understandable.

I believe that this version is generally regarded as superior to others. Often, European filmmakers do a better job on European stories, but not in this case. I thought the script, lighting, acting and direction were all excellent.

Agree to disagree, I almost always enjoy a film made in the Home country, I will say however, there is a Japanese version of Idiot that is excellent

I said often, not always. Of course there are exceptions, and you and I have each pointed one out.

Ah but I went through the 60's roundabout by hiding in the 50's
