In-jokes...

...Charlie's song to his children includes reference to Fu Manchu, a character Oland had played on three occasions. When Lee tells Charlie that his firm has sent him to Shanghai on business, Charlie jokes that Lee will be selling oil for lamps in China, which is a reference to a Keye Luke film, made earlier in 1935.

Thanks for sharing those. I remember thinking about them last year when you posted them and then watched the film. I just saw them mentioned on one of the DVDs extras. Good stuff!

Charlie was certainly in family man mode in this one. With that song and him playing leap frog with the children too.
