Some of the best tapping I've seen

Seriously, some of the best tap dancing I've seen....great dance scenes....the plot is irrelevant and silly, but who cares.

reply

Absolutely! Who needs a good excuse to get up there and lay those taps on. I miss it, and I wish there were someone who could do it now. The last good tap movie made was "Tap" with Sammy Davis and Gregory Hines, and now that they are gone, there seems to be no one to replace them. A note to those who make and pay for these movies: there are a lot of us out here ready for a tap dance movie, and we really don't care that much about the plot. Until you wake up, I will continue to watch all the great tap artists on film.

I was thinking about Davis & Hines while I watched the movie. I trust the pendulum will swing around. Irish stepdancing is all the rage, and that's some old dancing ... and, as more of these musical classics come out on DVD and such, folks will get re-inspired .... I hope!

Who was the male dancer with the mustache? He was quite good.

He was Nick Long Junior. His dancing with June Knight was stunning, wasn't it??
