RE: The bridge scene is something else!

I liked this movie. It has one of the funniest scenes in regards to any Laurel and Hardy sketch. It involves Ollie obtaining with a snuff box which was half of Laurel's inheritance the other half being a set of bagpipes. There's a certain Bridge which Laurel and Hardy come to rest at. It is there that Laurel goes about to try amd use the snuff within the snuff box on himself. However, he doesn't got about it the right way. Oliver Hardy goes about to show him the correct way on how to administer snuff on your own person.

The result of all this all goes terrible wrong, and sees Oliver Hardy suffering from the resulting farce.

Please watch out for this sketch it is something else, and the look from Oliver Hardy in regards to him staring at the camera at the end of it.

Brilliant, just brilliant

I believe that when he sneezed the water out of the river, that was just movie magic, and did not occur in real life.

Probably the most interesting scene of the movie. It was funny how they created the effect of Hardy sneezing underwater and the river ending up dry at the end of the bit. I hope those fishes survived the filming of this scene though.

Just loved that scene. IFor me its one of the best moments in Comdey History, and yet its hardly mentioned.

I still watch it today.

Like you mentioned it must have been difficult to make this scene. Yiu made some really interesting comments.

I hope the fish died, were given to cast and crew, and served to sustain the dominant species, the human animal, which invariably prefers an omnivorous diet.

I agree. Ollie at the bottom of the dry river with the fish flopping about is hilarious. A real classic.
