Did the Grand Mother ever consider trauma to Spanky ?

Although at one point Spanky has a …" So there " posture, at another point he has an " Oh my " as he is stunned and his helmet spins.

Did the Grandmother ever wonder as to or consider, or take into consideration, the ramifications to Spanky !?!

a) Teased at school,

2) Bullied,

c) Mother called names to her face in front of him,
and to his face in her absence

I think he was Teased and the mother was called names in front of spanky to further embarrass them. I don’t think anyone could really ever live that down. It’s one thing to e public ally embarassed but is another to be stripped of you clothes and left in your under ware and than to have a prop placed in front of you to further degrade and humiliate you.

This was 1935 not today.

I think Grandma's reaction was a once in a lifetime moment and without any time to think about the consequences took advantage of it. Besides she was thinking about Spanky not wanting to do constant stage shows and trying to put an end to it. No way Grandma would know her "daughter" would freeze on stage instead of running off and then have Spanky embarrass her more with the prop.
