What a windup!

This movie is worth watching just to see Alibi Ike's windup. It is stunningly original and hilarious. (I think-- what do I know? I'm someone will come on here and state that he copied it from some other too long forgotten star.)

If you think his windup was hilarious in 'Alibi Ike' (1935), you'll laugh yourself to death after watching his windup in 'Fireman, Save My Child' (1932). However, I'm not so sure it's the "windup" that's most amusing when Joe E. Brown is pitching; it's his rediculously exaggerated, self-assured mannerism when he's receiving the ball back from the catcher when he might be his most hilarious.

I agree, the windup and pitch even caught my attention and I'm not even a sports fan. The whole movie was crazy and very unexpectedly amusing.
