Noteworthy for an unusual reason
This film is the first one to have an MPAA number in the credits and its MPAA Certificate Number is "1". Remember that for your next trivia party!

Yes...I just saw this one today and saw that #1 on the screen. Couldn't believe it!
shareThis is awesome, because I've wondered for years what number one on the MPAA list was. Then I started watching The Lady Vanishes tonight and saw it was #02144, and I noticed Hansel & Gretal: Witch Hunters (watched tonight too) was 48,xxx+, so it reminded me to google "mpaa certificate numbers". I came across this old website (last updated in 2010):

saw number one, and headed over here immediately! :P
So 1934 was the first year then too. What a fitting title, too.
edit: according to that site, Lady Vanishes (1938) is 02144 and The Harvester (1937) is 2144, with many other strange inconsistencies throughout regarding MPAA # and release year.
