My thoughts on the film

The film is directed by Norman Taurog and stars Bing Crosby, Carole Lombard, George Burns, Gracie Allen, and Ethel Merman. It is about a wealthy heiress whose yacht shipwrecks and she ends up on an island with a sailor. The movie also involves a bear, a lion, some sheep, and a wacky husband and wife research team. There is a lot of singing in the film, most of which I enjoyed. The jokes are hit and miss, but there are some good one liners here and there. The storyline is somewhat predictable and could have been better developed, but overall it is a reasonably entertaining and mostly pleasant film which I liked. My rating is a 7/10.
