Impressive movie and Mr. Beery


I like this movie-while not really faithful to all the facts,they probably got the poetic truth about the man Villa was about right.Beery was ideally cast.I think he deserves more recognition as an actor-he didn't have good looks and from what I know of him he did not have a very engaging personality.He did well because he had talent.One of the forgotten greats.

I agree. Saw this the first time today and was transfixed. Taught me so much more than I knew about numerous aspects.

Wallace Berry would never be a star today. We have lost a lot from the old studio systems. Look at the variety of life portrayed then vs. now.

I loved this. Am going to research him more andthe events.
