Oddly funny - Spoiler Alert

The plot is strange; the guy is going to live it up for a month then deliver his body, which he has sold to science for a thousand dollars. Naturally his luck changes and he becomes very wealthy which causes him to completely forget the deal he's made. Meanwhile the mad scientist is anxiously awaiting his oddly shaped head and is imagining what he'll get to do with it.

This is not the usual plot of a comedy but this movie is pretty funny in a bizarre way. What I like about Joe E. Brown is how he plays the straight man that never seems to be aware of the joke. I think that's true of all of his movies; at least the ones I've seen. That trait, his face, and the expressions on his face always make me laugh.

What I don't understand is how he planned to get all that living out of only five hundred dollars. He asked for a thousand but owed the Brain half of it. I know people got much more for their money in those days but had he not struck it rich I don't know how much he would have been able to do. He certainly wouldn't have gotten his hands on the snob, money-loving, material girl Hortense. I didn't like her at all. With her he didn’t seem quite as honorable.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
