What Barrymore must have been like onstage

In the first part of the film, when Barrymore as Oscar Jaffe turns and clearly enunciates (loudly) as he yells out periodically to the back of the theater.....that's proof of what he must've been like in the theater. A strong voice that easily hit the back row!!
