shareFortunately I already have the VHS but I'd love to see it on DVD, it's such a classic.
shareYou may find the VHS at the library. That's where I found it. I've seen this superb screwball comedy earlier this year. It's worth tracking down. Hopefully it will be on DVD soon.
"Dry your eyes baby, it's out of character."
I've just heard that Columbia/Tristar have announced it for a 2005 DVD release. About time.
shareThe DVD came out earlier this year - I've just ordered my copy. Unfortunately the reviews I've read on Amazon say that the film on the DVD is unrestored and doesn't look too good. I'm not surprised really - Columbia/Tristar don't have a very good record when it comes to releasing restored prints on DVD (last years DVD of The More the Merrier suffered the same problem).
shareI just ordered on DVD.I hope they worked the problems out.I saw this at a history revival in my hometown.I laughed myself sick.
shareHey! I just got my Netflix DVD in the mail this week (Sept. 2006).
I saw the stage version years ago, with Imogene Coco.
That was pretty wild.
I hope the film, which was the basis of the stage version, is funny.
I will know in a day or two.
_________
"The Shadow knows." -- Lamont Cranston
One of the great screwball comedies. Barrymore is utterly brilliant and perfect in this role, and you can't beat Lombard. Great supporitng cast too, including the now-101-year-old Charles Lane.

My library has it on DVD. That's how I saw it!
shareApparently the copy that first came out on DVD was of inferior quality.
There is now, however, a restored copy in HD that is available on the internet and this copy is very good.
There is a good DVD out, but obtaining a copy is quite expensive. Ebay and Amazon both range fro, $40-80, but there is a digital copy on Amazon that is $9.99.
