Boring ass movie propped up by pseudo-intellectuals.

I finally sat down and watched this boring piece of tripe after hearing for years what a "groundbreaking" masterpiece it was in terms of documentaries. Don't make me laugh. This movie is literally two hours of:

1. Aerial shots of marches
2. Low-angled shots of marches
3. Low-angled shots of Hitlers and other Nazi party members speaking
4. Lots and lots of closeup shots of people and other things that were obviously shot separately from the event being captured
5. Lots of fake cheering, yelling and music added in post

There is no narration to explain what's going on or where any of the events are being held. There are hardly any captions, except when the "Congress party" starts.

There is nothing special about her shots, either. All she did was rip off Alexander Rodchenko and other Constructivist photographers. Big deal. How is this groundbreaking or brilliant? It's not. But I guess some people feel they're being cool and intellectual by embracing a controversial film as art.

It's visually impressive. But I guess some people feel they're being cool and intellectual by dismissing it as "tripe" and name-dropping Rodchenko. It sounds like somebody just had a film class.
