What is the best dvd availible of this film? Curious because it is in "1001 movies you must see before you die."

Synapse Films is releasing this on blu-ray in early 2014, that will be the best version ever available.

Blu-Ray finally going to be released on December 8, 2015

Got my copy today. By far the best print of the film - it was recently restored. Also the Blu Ray is Region Free.
