A great action flick...
the horse riding/jumps were incredible - great stunt work

I found it to be an intriguing story and a believeable companionship between Rod and Wabi. In my opinion its better than some of the other Lone Star films I've seen John Wanye in.

This movie has a sense of humor. When the assembly bugle is sounded, you can see a cowboy fly out of the outhouse to mount his horse.

Some of the stunt work is awesome - one bad guy running away and two men on horseback chase after him and pick him up.

The horse work took some will power on the riders parts. When the first rider rode the horse over the cliff and its neck started to bend, I thought this may not end well. Seems like a horse [1000 lbs] falling 20 feet or so and hitting water with a bent neck would probably be a death sentence. I really hoped that stunt horse was sick or had a serious behavior problem rather than being a good riding but lower grade horse.

When I started riding, trail ride stables would charge $3.00 for half a days horseback riding.

Noah Berry & Noah Beery, Jr. in the same film! I found this one quite enjoyable & amusing.

Not bad for a 1934 Western but the fight scenes were very unrealistic, with the fighters missing each other and falling before they were hit.

I enjoyed it - spectacular scenery and John Wayne and Noah Beery, Jr. in a film together. A decent story. Not bad for a B western- not bad at all
