Big dining room scene

Can someone explain the location of the large dining room setting for the 'reveal'? Nick and Nora were staying in a hotel and we saw their space during their Christmas Eve party. Their rooms were quite small compared to the 'grandness' of the dining room. Was it somewhere else in the hotel?

I suspect it was the main room, only with a dining room table brought up for the dinner.

well they are staying at one of NY's grandest hotels which would have had private dining rooms available.

I have always assumed that was where they were that is where the dinner is held.
