Is it just me or...

...Nunheim's character is never properly introduced?

This is something which concerned me when I watched the movie a couple of times a few years ago. Since some time has passed, I'm not sure that I'm correct.

The first time we see Nunheim is on the telephohe, when he makes an unexpected call. We only see his face for a few seconds, but we do not get to know who he is. Some reels later we hear about a Nunheim, but we do not know who he is or why are they talking about him. And then they go to visit him and we discover is the same guy on the phone. Doesn't it look like there was an additional scene which was cut?

Or maybe is it just me?
