Why did they Cut 'She's Way Up Thar' from DVD?

I taped Stand Up and Cheer from a local TV station in the 80's. My version has 3 additional minutes that are not on the DVD or the previous Video release. The main cut is the song "She's Way up Thar" that comes immediately after Broadway's gone hillbilly. Some Hillbilly man is singing that number after doing some strange type of yoddling. I read in some movie book that this movie was about 20 minutes longer than the DVD version at one point. Does anyone have any idea what else was cut and why?

Apparently, because the morons at Fox thought the Stepin Fetchit stuff was racist and offensive and/or this dreadful movie was too long at 80 minutes. I will buy the lost Way up Thar scene or simply want to see it if you can post it somewhere.

Thanks,
