Risque clothing

I found it amusing that the editors (in the story) were upset about using sex to sell, yet many of the young women in the final scene wore very sheer tops. They used sex to sell a movie, about trying not to use sex to sell their product.

“Wait a minute, wait a minute. You ain’t heard nothin’ yet!”

Watched this last night on TCM and noticed that irony too. And that's why I love pre-code films, TCM and all things black & white.

A lot of those female exercise instructors were very well "endowed", as their bra-less sheer tops revealed in fine detail. I couldn't take my eyes off them, which is why I replayed their scenes about a dozen times. They were as close to being topless as a woman can get with her clothes on.

Jesus is coming. Look busy.

It's funny I hadn't even noticed the sheer tops until you mentioned it and I went back and looked. That's because the women were not where my eyes were focused. This was an equal opportunity movie. They did not neglect the women in the audience.

The guys had great bodies and were shirtless almost the entire movie. I'm not into the overly muscular guys so this was perfect. They were very toned and looked healthy and strong without looking like they spend their lives lifting weights or taking steroids. The shower scene was an unexpected surprise. Nude behinds in full display; that's when I thought, okay, this must have been made pre-code.
