We’ve heard that song before

About 25 minutes in, Jimmy Tolson sings a song titled “Campus Crawl.” This sounds eerily similar to “The Michigan Rag,” purportedly the only original song written for “One Froggy Evening” (1955). Perhaps Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese saw The Road to Ruin once and immediately wished they hadn’t, or hoped that no one else would ever admit having seen it, or perhaps it’s an astonishing He’s So Fine/My Sweet Lord type coincidence.

It’s the same song!

Sir Arthur Sullivan (of Gilbert & Sullivan fame) was accused once of copying someone else's song. He responded that both of them only had "x" amount of notes to work with in the first place!
