What twist! - Spoilers**

I enjoyed the mood and the festival parts with the scary masks. Also the sailor with the guitar was entertaining, I believe his name is Panesco, anyone heard of him??

But boy that ending, very messed up.

Also the DVD version has a trailor for the 1949 remake, which seems to be quite amped up but much less subtle. You can tell from the trailer that it lost all the mystique, and ironically they hype of the "passion of the filming to capture the mystery of life"

As another person commented on this - the remakes then were just as redundant than today - but I think the 1933 "The Lady of the Port" is classic. By the way, it even looks better than the remake 15 years later!
