Does anybody have a copy?

I have been trying to get hold of a copy of this movie for quite some time, but have so far been unsuccessful.

If anybody has a copy of this movie, I would be delighted to hear from you. My email address is [email protected]. Thank-you very much.

I think I may have found one on Ebay. It may or may not be a scam. I'll let you know, see if I can make a copy.

Muahaha. It's boot-legged, but it's real. Whether or not I can copy it remains a mystery. ^_^

The best place to look for a copy is on a French second hand specialist site - www.priceminister.com . I've seen it there several times, and as I write there are three copies for sale on VHS. It comes on three tapes, recorded in SECAM and with no subtitles. It's also quite expensive, but then I'm a mean Scot! It was also available through www.alapage.com, but it seems to have been deleted now - might be worth enquiring, though.

Hope that's of some help.

I too have been looking d=for this film...any possibility of someone making a copy for me?

It appears that Criterion will be releasing this as a part of their budget Eclipse line...

We’re looking forward to introducing quite a few new filmmakers to U.S. audiences, starting with Raymond Bernard whose 1935 Les miserables is the best version of Victor Hugo’s novel ever brought to the screen, and it deserves to be seen alongside his anti-war masterpiece Wooden Crosses.

I have the Eclipse two-fer with Wooden Crosses. I just finished watching part 1 of Les Miserables. OMFG what a wonderful and surprising treat this is! Is this the most overlooked film in history? The acting, camerawork, editting...everything....top notch! It is so NOT like a typical 1934 film, if there is such a thing. Superb! Buy it!!! Now to parts 2 and 3....

I just bought a copy in Shanghai for about two bucks. It has both the criterion and eclipse stamps on it, but in Shanghai that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I haven't checked the quality yet.

You can rent it from Netflix. It comes on two discs.
