The poor cat

I just wanted to know, was that scene real. that poor cat loosing her Eye?.
I cannot stand to see animal cruelty caught of film. I'll never see this awful film again.

reply

Have you ever seen Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox or Slave To The Cannibal God? Obviously not.

reply

No, I didn't. is there any animal cruelty in them?.

reply

Have you ever seen a muskrat, snake or turtle gutted?

If you havn't seen them in person, see those movies and you can see them on film.

No it's not...but according to David Friedman how they found a one eyed cat is questionable.

Yes but the sad question is..how was the cat missing an eye in the first place?

reply

Oh and the thing he ate was a grape...8)

Esper got the one-eyed cat from a shelter and used it in the film.

reply

Maybe they discovered the one-eyed cat peeping in a seafood store.

A friend of mine had a cat with one eye. It had a severe infection and had to have it removed. I'm sure thats more likely to be a reason for the cat having only one eye.

I've not seen this film but many years ago i saw that clip on a tv show called OutThere! which showed clips from cult/exploitation movies, and that particular clip stuck with me.

Wish this would get released on dvd in the UK.

I'm glad you cleared this up; now I can go back to laughing at the movie again (I still wish that cat guy character next door had gotten his, though...)

I got a hat, not a visor; I drink Budweiser

reply

I thought the cat scene was funny. I don't think they harmed a real cat it was obviously fake.

reply

That was a very well compensated stunt cat. You really have no reason to complain about this.
The cat signed up for it of its own free will and gave its 6th life in pursuit of the art of cinema.

Stunt cat's family was able to leave their modest cat house and move to a carpeted, multilevel cat condo thanks to the work from this movie.
Sometimes what looks like animal cruelty to a viewer is simply...movie magic!

By the way, the cat fight coordinator...(not the human cat fight, but the feline cat fight) actually had to step in as one of the cat fighters due to the fact the other stunt cat turned yellow and ran off after it already ate its free meal that day.

Complain about the freeloader stunt cats who make things worse for everyone else if you need to complain.

It was a fake eye. I really hated that scene.
