What a damn good movie

Me and my friends get together once a week and we watch movies, sometimes they are very old movies like this one sometimes we'll watch something new like The Dark Knight, we do not discriminate when it comes to the age of the film.

So we watched Manhattan Melodrama tonight, my friend DVR'd it off of TCM when it came on there earlier last year and everytime. I must say this is a wonderful movie. The ending is powerful, William Powell was such an under-achived actor to be sooooo powerful when he spoke. The court room scene was also very powerful. To stand there and tell a jury to condemn his best friend in the entire world. The fact that this movie only won one Oscar is sorta awkward because I have seen It Happened One Night (also with Gable) and I thought this movie could've easily beaten that movie as well. Of course this is just my opinion but overall it was one helluva movie.
