I'm not sold - Spoiler Alert

I enjoyed the movie but I think the way the 'mystery' is resolved is kind of weak. It kind of a lazy Deus ex machina ending that's based on the flimsiest of evidence. The fact he suspects an actor is involved means nothing because the story revolves around a lot of actors in a theater company. Also, having once played a part is hardly proof of anything. Why would anyone go through all that and know what is at stake for them be so quick to confess? It makes no sense!

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

I totally agree - one of the weakest endings to a film I've seen in a long, long time. Cop has a shady recollection of Damon playing a character from a play 15 years ago being like the suspected murderer. Then, on just that, Damon confesses on that flimsiest of "evidence". WTF?
