Why the heck did those guys kidnap the daughter in the first place? It's cause the dad found important information, but what was the information? And why was the guy shot while he was dancing?
shareThe dancing 'guy' had information about an assassination plot that was going to happen in the near future. That is why the bad guys killed him. However, before dying, he managed to leak a clue to the main character, who found the information written on a piece of paper hidden in a shaving brush.
Since the main character now knows the information about the assassination plot, the bad guys kidnap the mans daughter and threaten to kill her if he, or his wife, blab about the assassination plot.
I hope that clears things up.
I was hoping it was all a McGuffin.
