Scheduled for release in June 2006. No other details known.

I hope it will be the original 74 minute version, and not the shortened 66 minute re-release that's shown on TCM. Does anybody know what happens in the missing eight minutes? Reginald Denny's unexpected departure seems rather sudden. Could an enlightening conversation between him and Karloff beforehand have been eliminated?

I saw the original version, screened from one of only 2 known 35mm prints at the San Francisco Balboa Theater Boris Karloff festival this week. It was excellent, although Karloff really chews up the scenery. I've never seen the edited version so I can't say for sure what was cut? Maybe some of the anti-Arab sentiment, or some of the violence?

It's being released by Warner June 6, but only as part of the John Ford Film Collection box set. Does any one have info on whether or not this is the complete version or the 66 minute 1949 reissue version?

The DVD in the box set is listed at 72 minutes. However, Amazon has two versions listed for sale, the one broken out of the box set (which you'll have to get from an Amazon seller, the only the box set is available in retail), and an imported copy listed at 74 minutes. Each one has a different cover.

just a heads up in case you were planning to buy the import listed at 74 mins. its a fraud.its just the old 66 min. version that was around for years.

Just watched it on rental from Netflix and it was 72 minutes long. So, I guess, it was "the real deal."
