How many times have they remade this film, officially or not? BATAAN, BADLANDS, SAHARA, LAST OF THE COMANCHES and, my favorite, LITTLE BIG HORN. There may be othersm, but these are the ones that comes to mind.

The first official remake was BADLANDS. Made at RKO in 1939, it even featured Douglas Walton in the same role as the (in this western incarnation) tenderfoot.
