Would someone please tell me what happened to the Reginald Denny character? Did he just desert and that was the end of it?
shareWasn't he the one who wrote a message on Karloff's Bible telling that he would go and take revenge after two of their partners were killed? If so, it was a true shame that his character disappeared just like that, since it was the most interesting in the movie (well, at least for me).

Yes, that was George Brown, aka "Topper", played by Reginald Denny. He didn't desert, at least not the usual sense of the word. He left to try to attack the Arabs. I do wish we had found out what had happened to him, since I agree he was one of best characters in the film. I guess we have to assume he died in the desert or was killed by the enemy.
