I wish Cagney Hadn't Ended Up Typecast as a Gangster

I have watched several of his early movies and he was excellent in all kinds of roles, especially comedies. No wonder he was angry with Warners for giving him junk scripts which they knew he and his pals would punch up and make hits. That was a lot more than what they were paying him for and that's why he kept walking out - they were paying him a fraction of what someone like Dick Powell (who was a good singer and later a very good producer but tepid as an actor) and expecting Cagney to fix their scripts on the fly, coming up with bits to make it interesting.

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!
