Love Alice White's Double Entendres

When Jimmy's pouring her a drink and says:

"Say when", she responds "What do you mean?". Jimmy then gives a meaningful look at someone else.

Then when he asks her, "What would you do for 500 bucks?", she responds, "I'd do my best!"

I bet audiences loved those precode gag lines. Alice White delivers them with such cute, sexy relish, innocently batting her eyelashes.

I wish she'd done more movies with Jimmy Cagney. I guess her offscreen, extra curricular activities got too much publicity of the wrong kind.
